Ogun state local government employees’ pass vote of confidence on Ayuba-led leadership

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ogun State branch on Monday passed vote of confidence on Comrade Ayuba Olatunji, who they declared as the authentic and  duly elected chairman of the union

Penpushing reports that, this was contained in a statement issued at the end of the meeting, which was signed by the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Wale Afuape, stressing that, this became necessary in view of speculations that there is a parallel executive in the union.

‘The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Ogun State Branch wishes to assure the general  public particularly members of the NULGE that Ayuba Olatunji led administration of NULGE in Ogun State remains the only recognized leadership of NULGE in the State’, Afuape wrote.

Penpushing further reports that, the union said, it strongly hold to the view that, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice decision advising the State leadership to hand over to a caretaker committee illegally constituted by a retired staff of the union, Comrade Razaq Lawal must have been taken in error

‘However, the entire State Executive Council members of the union today, Monday 24th August, 2020 passed a vote of confidence on the Ayuba Olatunji led leadership owing to his steadfastness in the union’s administration’, the statement reads.

Penpushing also reports that, the union called on the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, as the Chief Law Adviser to the State Government, to embrace the principle of fear hearing in the matter between the two parties in the union to ensure a balanced judgment thus promoting existing industrial peace and harmony in the state.
