Ogun state lawmaker, Awoso empowers constituents

The member of Ogun State House of Assembly representing Isokan State Constituency Hon. Adegoke Adeyanju Awoso has empowered residents of the constituency with number of working tools to aid their trade.

Penpushing reports the empowerment programme took place on Sunday March, 9 2025 and was described as monumental and attended by number of dignitaries which include Chief Sogo Agemo, SenatorKola Bajomo, Hon. (Chief) Bayo Bisiriyu Popoola, Hon. Lukman Akinyemi (Secretary Yewa North local government) Alhaji Lamina.

The others are Chief Jossy Friday, Alhaji Isiaka Durojaye , Hon.(Mrs)   Bukola Omoyayi  Hon. Sunday Kojeku, Chief Mrs. Abass( Iya loja General) ,  Hon Kayode Abiola,  Hon. Bayo Adeyemi amongst several political leaders and party faithfuls

The empowerment items include Grind pepper machines, sowing machines, fertilizers, rain boots, and cutlasses to support farmers, cash prizes of N40,000 for 150 market women to support their businesses and healthcare support, as well as free health insurance cards for 200 people worth N12,000 each.

Penpushing further reports that the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme could not hide their joy as they expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for liberating them and alleviating their sufferings while promising to put the items to favourable use.

The lawmaker in his speech expressed profound gratitude to his constituents for their unwavering support and trust in his leadership, while noting that the day’s empowerment programme was just a tip of the iceberg in his line-up of programmes for his constituency.

Penpushing also reports Awoso explained that the empowerment programme would not have been made possible without the support and goodwill of Governor Dapo Abiodun, whom he described as the captain of the ship.

The assemblyman commended the Governor for recently approving the completion of the Imasayi to Igan Okoto Ayetoro Road, amongst several other roads in Ogun State in his usual commitment to infrastructural development.

Penpushing reports that Awoso in the area of human and capacity development appreciated the Governor for his major role in bringing back the dearest son of the soil, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi back to Ogun State.

The lawmaker stated that the Governor was part of prominent individuals who went to appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release Adeola to come back home and liberate his people through good representation and delivering dividend of democracy.

‘It is a known fact that since his entrance into the State’s politics, Senator Olamilekan Adeola has been putting smiles on the faces of the people of Ogun West and Ogun State in general. His initiatives have brought significant development to the region, including construction of roads, modern classrooms, super mega empowerment programs, and other social infrastructures’, he stated.

Penpushing further reports that Awoso equally appreciated the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District for his financial and moral support towards the success of the empowerment programme, and expressed optimism that the Senator will meet his aspiration of becoming the next Governor of Ogun State in 2027.

Meanwhile, the empowerment programme, which is a continuation of its series stands as a testament of Awoso’s commitment to empowering the good people of his constituency and his quest to transform his community by giving his people a new lease of life in line with the building-our-future-together mantra of the current administration.
