Ogun state journalists end 3-year imbroglio, elects new officials
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council on Thursday ended its three year old imbroglio, following election of new executive members to run the affairs of the body for the next three years.
Penpushing reports that the election held at the hall of Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre, Oke-Ilewo in Abeokuta produced Wale Olanrewaju of the Information Chapel as the new chairman, while Bunmi Adigun of the Ogun State Television Chapel emerged as the Secretary
The other elected officials of the council include Abiodun Lawal of the Correspondents Chapel as the Vice Chairman, while Idris Adelakun of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation Chapel became the Treasurer
Penpushing further reports that, Tunde Odunewu of the information Chapel and Toyin Oyelumade of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation chapel had earlier been returned unopposed as Internal Auditor and Assistant Secretary respectively.
The much awaited election was conducted and supervised by the B Zone officials of the union led by Vice President, having accredited eligible voters for the poll which lasted over three hours under a peaceful atmosphere.
