Ogun state head of service, Kehinde Onasanya tasks Nigeria Youth Organisation to push for nation’s progress
The Ogun State Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya has identified youths as key drivers of change, innovators, activists, and leaders shaping the future, hence, need for them to continue to address societal issues and push for progress.
Penpushing reports that Onasanya stated this on Tuesday when members of the Nigeria Youth Organisation(NYO), Ogun State Chapter paid hi a private visit to his Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta.
The number one civil servant added that through volunteerism, advocacy, and technology innovation, they should emulate the ISEYA pillar of Prince Dapo Abiodun which focused on youth development and empowerment
‘The youth are key drivers of change, innovators, activists, and leaders shaping the future. Through volunteerism, advocacy, and tech innovation, they should continue to address societal issues and push for progress’, he added.
‘The letter Y in the ISEYA pillar of the present administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun focused on youth development and empowerment which indeed underscored the critical roles being played by the youths in the scheme of things’, Onasanya stated.
Penpushing further reports that he equally called on need for them to be constructive, engage in entrepreneurship rather than depending on white collar jobs and also seize the opportunity of the various job centers in the 3 senatorial districts of the state to develop themselves.
The Head of Service commended the effort of the Ogun State Chapter of the body for their diligent and steadfastness in the course of delivering service to the growth of the state and the country at large.
Penpushing also reports that Onasanya said he was proud to be associated with the organization, affirming that he has been monitoring their activities which he emphasized are laudable in all ramifications
The Head of Service in same vein encouraged the Nigeria Youth Organisation(NGO) to shun social vices and provide enlightenment to achieve a better society, emphasizing that they should consider themselves lucky to have Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, a veteran journalist as their media consultant.

Penpushing reports that the Head of Service was accompanied by Waheed Adesina (Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information and Strategy), Oladipupo Ogunfowora (Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Service Matters Office of the Head of Service) and Idowu Onasanya(Permanent Secretary Ministry of Sports Development).
The Deputy Chairperson of the organization who led the team, Comrade Sekinat Jimoh earlier in her remarks outlined the vision and mission of the body, which primary objectives include seeing to the positive developmental growth of the youths.
Penpushing further reports that she highlighted some major achievement of the organization in recent time which include engagement in sanitation exercise, organizing security summit as well as fully participation at the 50th anniversary celebration of Ogun State creation and Omo Olowu 2025 festival among others.
The Deputy Chairperson added that said the group equally sensitized the youths on their roles through workshops, seminar, emphasizing that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow and should wake up to their responsibilities.
Penpushing also reports that Jimoh explained that the Nigeria Youth Organisation(NYO) came into existence in 1980, while the Ogun State Chapter was berthed recently and has continued to be proactive.
