Ogun state government to recruit degree holders as Amotekun officials
The Ogun State Government is to recruit university graduates in the employment of Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, and has called for application from qualified interested candidates to take the job.
Penpushing reports that, this was contained in the Ogu State website named jobd.ogunstate.gov.ng which also disclosed that forms can be obtained at the office of the Commander, So-Safe-Corps located at Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta.
The information has it that, forms which shall be made free will be readily available from Friday, February, 12, 2021, and also disclosed the available positions, vacancies and qualifications requirements
Penpushing further reports that, for position of Assistant Superintendent of Corps, applicant must possess Degree in B.Sc., B.Ed. or its equivalent, and preferably ex-servicemen with minimum rank of full Lieutenant in the Army and /or its equivalent in other Security Agencies.
The statement added that for the position of Inspector of Corps, candidates must possess National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent
Penpushing also reports that for Assistant Commander of Corps, the applicants must possess Degree and other professional qualifications, and preferably ex-servicemen with minimum rank of Chief Superintendent of Police and its equivalent in the Military and other Security services.
The information makes provision for employment for field corps operatives, who must own a primary leaving certificate or local vigilantes, hunters with ability to read and write, while the age should be between 18 – 50 years, except for hunters
Penpushing reports that, the statement emphasized that, all applicants must pass oral board interview, and should produce birth certificate of declaration of age ,medical examination results, must be physically fit and no form of physical deformity
The applicants must also produce letter of recommendation from two guarantors, and this should be from one traditional ruler or notable person from the applicant’s community, as well as attestation by the applicant’s local government (Acting) Chairman or Secretary.
