Chartered Institute of Bankers appoint Ashimolowo as patron

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN),Ogun State branch has appointed the newly appointed Vice-President ECOWAS Bank for Development and Infrastructures, Dr Olagunju. Ashimolowo as its patron.

Penpushing reports that, Chairman of the Institute, Dr Segun Oshadare made this known when he led other members on a courtesy visit to the Presidential Hill top residence of Ashimolowo on Saturday in Abeokuta.

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), used the occasion in congratulating Ashimolowo on his new appointment at the ECOWAS Bank for Development and Infrastructures.

Penpushing further reports that, Oshadare pointed out that Ashimolowo is a golden fish that cannot hide, stressing that his expertise and experience which gave him such opportunity is needed in the branch to sustain the achievements the branch has recorded in the last 4 years

The chairman noted that, the achievements of the branch was one of the factors responsible for being adjudged the 2nd best branch by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria(CIBN0 in the country.

‘To us, the expertise and experience  which gave you such opportunity is needed in the branch to sustain the achievements the branch has recorded in the last 4 years as it has been adjudged the 2nd best branch by the CIBN’ ,Oshadare emphasied.

Penpushing also reports that, the investiture of Ashimolowo as the Institute patron was witnessed by his wife, Prof Bunmi Ashimolowo, Barrister Jumoke Fadairo, Mr Jide  and Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji(Founder Penpushing Media) among others.

The patron in his response expressed appreciation, and noted good efforts of the branch in sustaining the name of the institute in the state, and encouraged them to do more especially in youth development and professionalism of the banking profession.

Penpushing reports that, Ashimolowo, who was presented with some documents on his appointment, promised to be actively involved in the program of the branch that can further uplift the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

Meanwhile,   the other executive members of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), in attendance at the colourful ceremony  include: Messrs Nuhu Anthony(Secretary) Hassan Moshood( Auditor) and Mrs Comfort Sogade
