Ogun State Government set to launch online publications
The Ogun State Government has disclosed plan to launch an online publications for effective, accurate and timely dissemination of information across the globe, with focus on government activities and others.
Penpushing reports that, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Waheed Odusile made this known while meeting with Information Mangers of Government, adding that the importance of effective, accurate and timely dissemination of information cannot be over emphasized.
The Commissioner noted that the need to keep people abreast of happenings and activities of government necessitated the establishment of the online medium.
Penpushing further reports that Odusile thereafter led the information management team of government on an inspection visit to the State owned Television and Radio stations, to have a firsthand feel of their operations.
The Commissioner while speaking at Ogun State Television, charged the management to look at possibility of having dedicated channels for news, sports and drama, while assuring that government would do more for the two stations, especially in terms of equipment.
Penpushing also reports that, he noted that the stations have the best of professionals, saying that Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration would always appreciate talents and not take their welfare for granted.
The General Manager of Ogun State Television, Mr. Festus Kehinde and Assistant General Manager Programmes Services, Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, Mrs. Toyin Sogbesan appreciated the Commissioner for the visit, while promising to do their jobs professionally and promote government in good light.
