Ogun state government distributes N10million to entrepreneurs
The Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency, (OSAMCA), has disbursed over N10.7million loan to qualified Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), aimed to further boost businesses for socio-economic development of the State.
Penpushing reports that Chairman of the agency , Princess Feyikemi Egbeyemi who made this known during the presentation of cheques to another batch of the beneficiaries, said that a total of over N30million loans had so far been disbursed in the first quarter of year 2023.
The agency boss who appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for the support given to the agency in the last two years, said the loans disbursed to agribusinesses, non-agribusinesses entrepreneurs, mentoring to farmers and market women had contributed immensely to the economic growth of the State.
Penpushing further reports that she assured that government would continue to roll out loans to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on monthly basis, as far as the criteria were met by beneficiaries, adding that the agency was committed to promoting skill acquisition programmes such as hairdressing, barbing, sewing, hat making, among others
The Chairman appealed to the beneficiaries of the loan not to see it as a, ‘national cake’, but use the loan to expand their businesses and pay up at stipulated time, urging interested entrepreneurs to visit any of the five Zonal Offices for enquiry or log on to www.Osamca.ng
Penpushing also reports that, Mr. Olanrewaju Egunsola while speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries at the event commended the effort of the Ogun state government, promising that the beneficiaries would utilise the loan judiciously.
