OGUN SPEAKER LAUDS PENPUSHING MEDIA ON PROFESSIONALISM
The Speaker explained that the arrays of professionals that contribute to the medium’s news content through their wealth of experience and expertise would contribute immensely at sanitizing the media space, thereby helping to curtail the spread of fake news in the society.
Penpushing further reports that, Oluomo assured the editorial team and the entire populace in the State of meaningful engagements by the leadership of the Assembly, reiterating that the 9th Legislature remained committed to engaging members of the public in all its legislative duties with a view to bringing more democratic dividends to the people in collaboration with the other arms of government in the State.
The Chairman Editorial Board, Mrs. Fadugba, in company of the Penpushing Founder, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji and a former Director of the National Broadcasting Commission(NBC), Mr. Eddy Aina commended the Assembly for its laudable achievements within a short time of its inauguration,.
Penpushing also reports that, Fadugba, a former Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos Council said Penpushing was established to fight fake news, in the society which is almost becoming order of the day.
The Board boss, who decried the high spate of fake news in the society, remarked that the platform which paraded scholars, top traditional rulers and revered personalities in the society had upheld objectivity, fairness and credibility in setting agenda through news contents to shape public opinion.
Penpushing reports that, Fadugba expressed optimism that the Assembly would sustain the tempo of development in the State through credible representation and enactment of people-oriented legislations that would bring more economic prosperity to the State.
The Chairman of the Editorial board also lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for the pronouncement of 50% consideration to women in political participation to promote gender balance in response to the Assembly’s resolution on 35% to women and 10% to youth with special consideration to people with special needs, imploring the Assembly not to sacrifice merit while implementing the pronouncement.
