OGUN POLICE PARADES FOURTEEN SUSPECTED CRIMINALS OVER ARMED ROBBERY, OTHERS

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, while parading the suspects  said that they were apprehended in the last few weeks, adding that they would be made to face the court soon.

He said, “Criminals activities committed in the state should not be allowed to go undetected, so in the light of this, we are able to apprehend some criminals in the couple of weeks ago, these criminals apprehended, they are ranging from cultists, armed robbery, rapists, as well as those who are dealing on illicit drugs, in all we have about 14 of them’.

“We have some of them who robbed students of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Sapade, after robbing the students, they still forcely had carnal knowledge of them, the two of them had been arrested now in Police custody, helping us in our investigation’.

“Likewise, we have some of them who are specialised in snatching motorcycle from the rider, some of them are using this grounded pepper, they will pretend to be passenger, they will stop anybody who is riding a very good motorcycle’.

“When they get to an isolated place, they will sprinkle the pepper on their eyes, from there, they will be able to disposes them of the motorcycle, we have about four of them with us here. We have somebody who is dealing with illicit drugs, dealing with cocaine, heroin and some other form of prohibited drugs.

“While acting under the influence of those drugs, he will commit a lot of atrocities, ranging from robbery, kidnapping, rape and other heinous crimes. So we have 14 of them with us here, so we believe that showing them to members of the public will send a signal to the likes of them who have chosen to take crime as a way of life, and if crime wants to be their business they should stay away from it.

“Any moment from this, these ones will have their way in court, they will be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction” he added.

Penpushing further reports that one of the suspected criminals,, a 23-year old  Usman Adeyemi, while speaking with journalists said that he regretted what he is facing  explaining, as his father really tried for him.
