OGUN POLICE COMMISSIONER CALL PARENTS FOR REGULAR MONITORING OF WARDS

Authority, (NTA), Abeokuta, in collaboration with Airtel and Superfood,an eatery outfit in Abeokuta.

He emphasized that monitoring the children should ‎start from homes, stressing that, the genesis of crime start from youthful ages, which should be discouraged.

The commissioner noted that, peace would only be achieve in any society if children were well brought up, hence, need for parents and guardians to be cautious of this.

‘All parents and guardians should adequately monitor attitude of their children and wards from home. Peace can be achieved if there is security. Parents have important roles to play towards better life for children’, he stated.

The police further added that, parents should put good monitoring system on their children, which include knowing type of friends they keep, and type of neighbour they have.

Ilyasu also appealed to children to be cautious of friends they keep, and should not keep friends not known to their parents

‘Children, you should be cautious of friends you keep. Don’t go out with anybody, without the knowledge of your parents. If you close in school, go home’, he told them.

‘Don’t let anybody teach you how to make money. Avoid gifts not known to your parents’, the police boss stressed

Earlier in her welcome address, General Manager of Nigerian Television Authority, Funmi Wakama reminded parents of the need to keep children and wards safe in the Yuletide period and beyond.

The number one Super Cop in the State will talk to us about safety and security in these trying times.

“So, this is an open invitation to our parents to always bring their children and wards to celebrate their birthdays with NTA and Super foods”, Wakama noted.

The NTA boss, who appreciated the commissioner of police for the honour he gave to the children, also   urge us all as parents, teachers or caregivers to join our hands together and make a pledge ‘today to secure today, and future of these little ones’.
