OGUN GOVERNMENT SPENDS N18BILLION ON ROAD CONSTRUCTION IN EIGHT MONTHS
He added further that, the roads included Sagamu-Benin express junction/ Oba-Erinwole junction road, Ilo-Awela road, OGTV-Brewery junction road, Ilara-Ijohun-Ilase road, Lafenwa-Ayetoro road and Ejirin-Oluwalogbon junction road. Others included Agbara-Atan road, Lusada-Igbesa township road and Lusada- Alapoti road as well as reconstruction of Ilaro-Owode road amongst others.
The Commissioner noted that the government had put in place more infrastructural projects, stating that contractors were being mobilised to site for the construction of semi-urban roads, just as Federal Government had approved the construction of Sokori River concrete channel for flood control in Abeokuta metropolis.
The Committee tasked the Ministry to speed up construction works at the various sites across the State, calling for the completion of all ongoing projects before the current administration winds down next year, and also took time to examine the budget performance of the State Road Maintenance Agency, (OGROMA) Bureau of Electrical Engineering Services and the State Fire Services.
