OGUN CUSTOMS DECLARE RAPID WAR AGAINST SMUGGLERS
The customs boss disclosed that two suspects were apprehended, while seizures with total duty paid value of over N160million were recorded within the last two weeks. He also restated the command’s readiness to collaborate with residents and other relevant bodies to stem the tide of smuggling.
Madugu accompanied by other top shots of the command listed the seizures to include 20 used cars, popularly known as ‘Tokunbo’,18 vehicles and 8 motorcycles used as means of conveyance as well as 1, 060 bags of rice.
Others recovered items included; five sacs and 30 bales of second-hand clothes 158 kegs of vegetable oil, 259 cartons of frozen poultry products and 150 kegs of premium motor spirit, PMS, generally known as Petrol
