Obasanjo, Osoba lead dignitaries to Penpushing Media 5th anniversary lecture
The former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will lead other dignitaries to participate at the 5th anniversary edition of Penpushing Media scheduled to hold Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Marque Events Centre, located within the premises of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
Penpushing reports that Obasanjo gave his word of assurance to attend when the founder of the media organization Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji visited him on Monday at his private residence at Penthouse Presidential Library, Abeokuta and gave kudos to the organization for transforming journalism for better.
The former President commended the editorial board of Penpushing Media led by Funke Fadugba, as well as the planning committee of the anniversary led by Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, and others which include: Sina Adefolokan, Gbenga Onayiga, Yemisi Fadairo, Remmy Hazzan, Toyin Ogunbomehin, Dr Adewunmi Alayaki and Doyin Lasisi.
‘Penpushing, you are pushing well and continue to push, God be with you. I will endeavor to be part of you at the anniversary, even if I am to spend few period with you, I will join you in the celebration’, Obasanjo assured.
Penpushing further reports that former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Osoba, a journalism icon who is the Chairman of the ceremony has equally concluded arrangement to honour the ceremony, which is scheduled to start 10am
The guest lecture at the event Prof Sulaiman Bogoro, s former Executive Secretary of TETFUND, has also arrived on Monday evening to deliver lecture of the anniversary with the theme’, Burden of Inclusivity and Nigeria’s Democracy’
Penpushing also reports that in similar vein, the mother of the day, Iyalode of Yorubaland, Iyalode Alaba Lawson has equally assured the organisers of the anniversary lecture and editorial board of the organization of attending the event, where she is one of the dignitaries to give remarks.
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, former Governors Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Ibikunle Amosun, former Military Administrator Col Daniel Akintonde(rtd), and Chief(Mrs) Bola Obasanjo, wife of former President, as well as number of traditional rulers among others are expected at the occasion
Penpushing reports that the ceremony which is set to address number of issues as related to developmental growth of Nigeria and beyond is designed to accommodate stakeholders from various bodies, institutions, professional bodies, trade unions among others
