Obasanjo leads dignitaries to Ojaronke Ogunremi’s 80th birthday
Former Nigeria’s President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday June 7, 2025 led dignitaries and other guests within and outside Nigeria to join in celebrating Princess Ojaronke Ogunremi on her 80yj birthday ceremony.
Penpushing reports that the celebrator accompanied by her husband majestically arrived the Waterside Venue, Admiralty Road, Lekki, Lagos at precisely 2.30pm into the waiting hands of the guests.
The arrival of the celebrator into the lavishly decorated venue of events attracted loud ovation and stand up in her honour by over 100 guests in attendance, as she joyfully embarked on dance from highlife music by Segun Rockers, a renowned one-man band.
Penpushing further reports that other notable personalities at the ceremony anchored by Yemi Shodimu, a renowned veteran broadcaster include, Ambassador Tunji Sarafa Ishola, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Chief Joju Fadairo, Ambassador Folake Marcus-Bello and Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji (Founder Penpushing Media), Bimbo Alagbe, Barrister Kayode Akinsola and Prof Olusesi Obateye
The others are Chief Bode Mustapha, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele (Ogun State Deputy Governor),Otunba Fasawe, Hon Kayode Amusan, Olumide Osoba, Dr Dr. Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo, Kayode Ajala, the Oloris of Osile Oke-Ona, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, as well as representatives of Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Matemilola
The dignitaries also include Cardinal Prophet J.O. Odunmbaku(Baba Eto), RT. Hon. Penpushing also reports that the first phase of the ceremony started with prayer by Pastor Femi Faseru, followed with introduction of personalities, as well as speeches by family and close friends of the celebrant, and presentation of a documentary on her.
The birthday ceremony which was talk of the town and memorable for the guests, was provided with various delicacies including different types of drinks, as well as offering of souvenirs for the guests.
Penpushing reports that midway to the ceremony, the celebrant took time to once again changed her dress which lasted for about some minutes, however, to amazement of her guests, she returns through a boat.
The grandstyle returns attracted thunderous applaud from the guests, who were competing to take her photograph as she disembarked from the boat which convey to the venue, as the party progresses.
Penpushing further reports that Obasanjo and other personalities equally took time to welcome her as she danced and beaming with smiles back to the venue, and joined by others to appreciate God for her life.
The former President later conducted the cutting of birthday cake and fed number of guests at the occasion, followed with group photographs with the Ijesa born celebrator and her husband, with family members
Penpushing also reports that Obasanjo in a congratulatory letter to the celebrant commended her for being a good mother to her children, an amiable grandmother and dutiful wife to her darling husband

Penpushing reports that Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in his own letter said the life of the celebrant has been an inspiring narrative of great accomplishments, testament to service, leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress of Ogun State.
‘As a grassroot politician of repute, you have played a significant role in shaping the political landscape of Ogun State, demonstrating uncommon courage, wisdom and unwavering commitment to the ideals of democratic values and good governance’, Abiodun wrote
‘Attaining the age of eighty in good health and sound mind, with lofty achievements, it is a manifestation of God’s benevolence in your life. On this occasion of your 80th birthday, I am pleased to join you, your family, friends and associates in celebrating this significant milestone, giving gratitude to Almighty God for a life well-lived’, he added
‘It is therefore, my prayer that Almighty God in His infinite mercies, will continually watch over you, grant you many more years in good health, that you may remain a beacon of hope and inspiration to mankind. Once again, please accept our hearty congratulations and the assurances of my highest regards, as always’, the Governor stated
Penpushing further reports that former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Gbenga Daniel in his own congratulatory message described the celebrator as a role model and source of inspiration to the women in politics.
The former Governor emphasized that she is compassionate, brilliant and epitome of beauty which further confirmed that 80 looks good for her, noting that her contributions to the hospitality industry while at Eko Hotels and Gateway Hotels is worthy of emulation
‘Your leadership as the General Coordinator of the Women Bible Fellowship Celestial Church of Christ, is a testament to your unwavering commitment, dedication and service in the House of God’, Daniel wrote.
