Oba Saka Matemilola foundation distributes uniforms to students

The Oba Matemilola Foundation in collaboration with Alli Foundation on Friday distributed pairs of uniforms to the students of Ansar Ud Deen Primary school at Onagboro, Ija Offa Gbagura, located in Abeokuta North local government area of Ogun State.

Penpushing reports that Olori Kadijat Matemilola in her speech at the donations explained that the gesture was part of the commitment of the foundation to ensure the development of Owu Kingdom,adding that the uniforms are targeted at students who do not have uniforms.

“We are doing this to ensure that each student dresses appropriately to school everyday. We have made arrangements for uniforms to be distributed to you students. We were supported by the Ali Foundation who also added to our course. I thank the teachers for doing a good job in training these students and also ensuring that they are well taught in a serene environment,” she said.

Penpushing further reports that the Matemilola emphasized on the need for the students to keep reading, and equally encouraged them not to relent in their academic pursuit for better future as they grow

The known proactive wife of the first-class traditional ruler pointed out that in similar development scholarships were granted to students in various schools as well as empowerment of women in Owu Kingdom.

‘We have been empowering women (widows and single mothers) here in Owu providing them with businesses for them to sustain themselves. We have also given out scholarships to students in some schools here in Ogun state. Today is the International Day of The Girl Child. As we celebrate this, I will advise all the female students here to always face their studies and not be derailed from learning” she added

Penpushing also reports that the teachers and students of Ansar Ud Deen primary school expressed appreciation to the foundation and Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola for their kind gestures towards the school and the people of Owu kingdom.

“We really appreciate all you have been doing. We thank you Olori Khadijat for the great concern you have shown to us and we are grateful for the distribution of uniforms to our students’, the officials emphasised.

‘This is very thoughtful for the foundation to do and we hope they will do more. We pray for the continued progress of the foundation. God bless you our Kabiyesi, Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola and your Olori Khadijat Matemilola for all the good deeds you have done in this kingdom’, they added
