NTA GENERAL MANAGER, FUNMI WAKAMA BAGS NAWOJ AWARD

‘I don’t know how to start the story; Mrs Wakama has been a pillar of support for NAWOJ. I can say this openly and boldly that, when she was the government spokesperson, she has remained loyal and supportive to our course. We missed her when after completing her tenure at governor’s office, she left, but few months after, when she was elevated and posted to NTA, Abeokuta as General Manager, our joy knew no bound’, Adebiyi said,

However, in her response, the awardee said she was overwhelm with the award, which she said was to her heart, stressing that an award coming from a professional body which one belong to, remained more important and meaningful  more than any other wards.

‘It is overwhelming. I am so happy, the award meant a lot to me. Any award coming from a professional body one belongs remained important. I want you to know this, I really appreciate the award’, Wakama emphasized

Speaking further, she expressed joy that since she took over leadership mantle of the station, the station has been growing tremendously, and things have beginning to change for the better, adding that just few days ago, the management secured two back to back live transmission.

‘We have started renovation of the station. The state government has promised to assist us, as well as corporate bodies and individuals. The award will spur me to do more”, the General Manager said.
