Nigerians will appreciate Buhari after leaving office, says Amosun

Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Nigeria better than how he met it in 2015 after his expiration of office, just as he added that those nursing ambition to take over from Buhari should leverage on significance of Buhari’s achievements.

Penpushing reports that, Amosun, a known political  godson of Buhari made this known while speaking at the press week of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ),Oyo State Council , where he was awarded the “Nation Bridge Builder and Icon of Progressive Bloc” ,held in Ibadan.

The two term former Governor represented by former Secretary to Ogun State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa  expressed optimism  that those criticising Buhari’s administration will still come back to glorify him after his exist

Penpushing further reports that Amosun speaking  on the topic “All Progressives Congress and the Post-President Muhammadu Buhari Era, the Task Ahead of Us” said that  the ruling party and Buhari have met majority of yearnings of Nigerians, adding that the President will always put interest of Nigerians first ahead of his personal interest or gain.

The Senator Representing Ogun Central said, 2023 election needs proper planning because it will determine the future of our  the country, stressing  that All Progressives Congress( APC) shall continue to build democracy and make the people to know that political power belong to the people.

“We shall continue to advocate for electoral reform to make politics free from electoral malpractices, we shall work harder in one accordance to sustain and transform what Buhari’s administration has done. Our party remain indebtness to Buhari for his leadership and political patience as a party, we shall remain peaceful and growing family and ready to spearhead Nigeria to greatness.”,Amosun added

Penpushing also reports that other awardees at the event include wife of former Oyo State Governor, Mrs Florence Abiola Ajimobi, Chairman, Nigerian Communication Commissions (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, and Hon Seyi Adisa among others.
