Nigerian woman delivers baby aboard repatriation flight
A pregnant woman identified as a Nigerian, Kafayat Amusan was on Wednesday delivered of a baby boy aboard an Emirates Airline flight evacuating Nigerians from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Penpushing reports that, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) made this known in a press release on its Twitter page, just as findings also showed that the woman, was among the Nigerian travellers stranded in the country.
The woman was said to have put to bed 30 minutes after take-off which led to the return of the aircraft to Dubai, and said to be currently on admission, at a hospital in Dubai, as at the time of filig this report
Penpushing further reports that, the chairperson of the commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa said the new mother “will return to Nigeria after obtaining a birth certificate and other necessary travel documents for her baby boy.”
The chairperson while congratulating the mother for another addition in her family prayed for her safe return to Nigeria, while the Nigerian Ambassador in Dubai, Mohammed Rimi,also confirmed that both mother and child are in good health.
