Nigerian senator, Ifeanyi Ubah, slumps, dies in London

A Nigerian Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented Anambra South District of Anambra State under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) has been reported to have slumped and died in London on Friday

Penpushing reports that the late 52-year-old federal lawmaker recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from YPP and then declared interest to contest the forthcoming Governorship election in Anambra State.

The death of Ubah was confirmed by a top official who hails from the same community as Ubah and also a member of the ruling party, but does not want his name in print explained that the senator slumped in London on Friday, and later went into a coma.

Penpushing further reports that the source added that Ubah had not been healthy, adding that his health deteriorated because he had been busy with preparation for his Governorship campaign.

‘He has not been taking his health seriously because of his consultations for his interest in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State. We are waiting for an official announcement from his family’, the source stated
