Nigerian Senate President to lead dignitaries to installation of Solomon Adeola as Aremo of Yewaland
The Nigerian Senate President Senator Ahmad Lawan, will lead other dignitaries which include top government functionaries to celebrate Senator Solomon Adeola who will be honour with a chieftaincy title of Aremo of Yewaland by the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle.
Penpushing reports that, a statement Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, said the installation ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday in the ancient town, as approved by the Yewa Traditional Council.
The Media Adviser who is also the Majeobaje of Olu Ilaro-Yewa, a traditional title in the town added that, other expected personalities include Chief Olusegun Osoba(former Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun(Ogun State Governor) and Secretary to Federal Government, Boss Mustapha
Penpushing further reports that, others are Otunba Gbenga Daniel(former Governors of Ogun State), Mr. Boss Mustapha, Hajia Shamsuna Ahmed (Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning), Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi among others.
The Yewa Traditional Council in a letter dated September 29, 2021, over four years ago, explained that the conferment was in recognition of Adeola’s sustain persistent, uncommon passion and continuous support towards the growth and development of new land.
“Conferment of The Prestigious Title of Aremo of Yewaland already approved over four years ago on your Distinguished Senator in recognition of your sustain persistent, uncommon passion and continuous support towards the growth and development of new Yewa of our dream”, the letter reads.
Penpushing also reports that, the statement said, Adeola who received the letter, personally signed by Oba Olugbenle as the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland as well as President of Yewa Traditional Council, accepted the honour from all the living traditional rulers of Yewaland and the installation was fixed as part of the 10th Anniversary of the Installation of the Paramount Ruler for Saturday.
The statement added that the unprecedented installation which also included a title of Yeye Aremo for the Senator’s wife, Temitope, is expected to be witness by all Yewa Obas as well as other traditional rulers in Ogun State and Lagos State.
Penpushing reports that, Odunaro disclosed that, other Yewa sons and daughter to be honoured with titles alongside the Aremo-Oba includes Otunba Akeem Ade Adigun(Sokopao) as Apagunpote of Yewaland, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun as Oluomo of Yewaland and Alhaja Salmot Badaru, former Deputy Governor of Ogun State as Beere of Yewaland.
Penpushing reports that, Odunaro said,the 10th Anniversary celebration of the ascension to the throne of the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland will also witness the public presentation of the autobiography of Oba Olugbenle titled ” Double Grace: Kingship and Service” under the co-chairmanship of Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the President of the Senate with Chief launchers as Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu and Sir Kessington Adebutu.
