NIGERIAN MINISTER, MAMORA GETS BITTER TASTE OF LAGOS- IBADAN EXPRESSWAY GRIDLOCK,LAMENTS STATE OF NATION’S ROADS
The Minister could not hide his bitter experience on the road, as he narrated his ordeal to the guests on arrival, lamenting profusely that even his pilot car cannot proffer any magic or solution to his plight, regretting that, ‘that was the unpalatable of our roads’
‘ I want to apologise for my lateness, I left Lagos early enough, I ended up spending five hours for a journey of one hour, we got hooked up from Magodo. The journey that should have taken us one hour, took us five hours. That is unpalatable state of our roads, even my pilot car cannot pilot me through the ordeal’,Mamora lamented.
Penpushing further reports that, as the organisers waited endlessly for the guest lecturer, they decided to kick off the programme, in view of the presence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who was also old student of the school, to avoid keeping him and other dignitaries waiting endlessly.
The Minister, later arrived the venue towards the tail end of the the programme, that was after the former President Olusegun Obasanjo had made his speech and left, so he(Mamora) moved straight to the podium to deliver his lecture with the theme, ’Teacher Education and National Development.
