Nigerian lawmaker, Afuape marks 100-day in office, empowers constituents.

The member of Federal House of Representatives Hon. Afolabi Afuape, representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency has empowered over 300 constituents to commemorate his 100 days in office.

Penpushing reports that the empowerment held on Monday was in line with his campaign promises, which was to facilitate  life changing and enhancement amenities in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency

The ceremony include provision of working tools such as deep freezers, sewing machines, hair dryers, grinding machines  to different groups and professional associations within the local government area, while cash empowerment to 200 people were also distributed to support small and medium scale businesses across the 15 wards of the Federal Constituency”.

Penpushing further reports that Afuape, a  former commissioner in Ogun State in the same vein commissioned his constituency office to ease access and enable effective communication between him and his constituents for inclusive governance

The Federal lawmaker while  speaking at the event, disclosed that 100 participants who have been trained in the Solar System Installation and Maintenance are empowered with Starter Kits to ease their operations in the field.

“Aside the 100 people benefitting from Solar training and System Starter Kits, other items like Deep Freezers, Sewing Machines, Hair Dryers, Grinding Machines were distributed to different groups and professional Associations within the local government area, while cash empowerment to 200 people were also distributed to support small and medium scale businesses across the 15 wards of the Federal Constituency”, he said.
