Ibadan Polytechnic management confirms death of two students engaged in alleged marathon sex

The Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State Capital on Wednesday confirmed death of two students of the institution, who were said to have involved in marathon sex after taking hard substance believes to be tramadol.

Penpushing reports that the management disclosed identities of the victims as Oromidayo Daniel, a National Diploma II student of Civil Engineering Department and Adeleke Aramide, who was also a National Diploma II, at the Department of Business Administration

The Public Relations Officers of the institution, Adewole Soladoye,  said  Oromidayo Daniel died on Monday, while his unconscious partner, identified as Aramide Adeleke, was rushed to University College Hospital (UCH) for treatment but also later died.

Penpushing further reports that, Soladoye described the incident as tragic, urging other students to learn from the incident and desist from an act that can endangered their health, adding that the management sympathized with family of the deceased .

“Only a medical expert can ascertain cause of the death, nobody was there to count the rounds of sex they had or recorded the event, everything people are saying was just a speculation, people engaged in sexual intercourse everyday, and it is not all that result in death, there might be some underlining ailment that caused it. The incident happened at the deceased residents outside the institution, our hostel facilities did not housed men and women together, we have boy and girls hostel separately”, he stated.

Penpushing also reports that the institution spokesman urged other students not to involve in drug related issues, adding that it was illegal to take hard drug , adding that, that was why government banned it because of the side effects.

Meanwhile, one of the deceased neighbour said she was horrified when she saw the lifeless body of the deceased on the floor and the female partner barely alive before being rushed to University College Hospital (UCH)
