Nigerian Communications Commission applauds emergence of Guild of Corporate Online Publishers

Penpushing reports that, Head Corporate Commission, Nnena Ukoha made this known on Wednesday while speaking  at the business luncheon organised by Guild of Corporate Online Publishers(GOCOP) for the media head of corporate bodies ahead of the 6th edition of annual conference of the body between 5-6 October, 2022 in Lagos.

The Corporate Head, who is also a journalist, affirmed that her honouring the invitation was a home coming for her, stressing that she was proud to be associated with the online publishers, adding that Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC) is equally comfortable with membership of the body, noting that this comprises of season journalists who knows value of authenticity in media management.

“It is good to be home. We at NCC proud of GOCOP. A formidable group that has change face of journalism. We are proud of you for, competing globally. GOCOP is partner in progress with NCC. GOCOP is like a mother of NCC. If GOCOP has not been there to talk on what we do, as regulator, nobody will know” she added.

Penpushing further reports that, Ukoha observed that the media contributions remained one of the major factors for the success of the commission, and also encouraged journalists on important need to verify their report before publishing, stressing that in regards the commission, they should always put call across to the management for proper verification.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), gave assurance of adequate and regular support for Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), as well as individual members, as at when due, and at appropriate relevant time and period
