Nigeria Youth Organisation to participate at 50th celebration of ogun state creation

The Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO) has concluded arrangements to participate at the one- week celebration anniversary of Ogun State at 50, scheduled to officially commence on Monday hold in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Penpushing reports that the Public Relations Officer of the organisation Comrade Edun Abdullahi made this known in a statement, adding that in line with this commitment the body remains steadfast in its support for programmes and policies that foster sustainable growth and development across communities

‘The Nigeria Youth Organisation(NYO) hereby announces its participation in the Ogun State at 50 celebrations, scheduled to hold on Tuesday in Abeokuta, the state capital’, Abdullahi stated.

‘As an organisation committed to youth empowerment, societal development, and the promotion of progressive government initiatives, the NYO remains steadfast in its support for programmes and policies that foster sustainable growth and development across communities’, it added.

Penpushing further reports that the statement added that in line with this commitment, the organisation has consistently supported the Iseya Initiative of Governor Dapo Abiodun, led administration.

The Nigeria Youth Organisation(NYO) emphasized these include the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, provided such initiatives are geared towards the overall welfare of society and the youth populace.

‘The Nigeria Youth Organisation views the 50th anniversary celebration of Ogun State as a significant opportunity to further engage young people across the state, promote civic responsibility, and reaffirm its commitment to contributing meaningfully to the development of Ogun State and the nation at large’.

Penpushing also reports that the organization, however, called on youths and all relevant stakeholders to actively participate in this historic celebration and to continue supporting initiatives that promote unity, growth, and sustainable development in Ogun State.

The programmes of event include inter-faith thanksgiving service scheduled to hold on Monday February 2,2026 from 11am at the arcade ground of the Governor’ office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Penpushing reports that a state banquet will hold on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 by 4pm at arcade ground, and on Thursday February 5,2026 there will be cultural display and carnival float beginning from 9am with the procession moving from Isale-Igbein to Lalubu road in Abeokuta.

The government disclosed that another round of road commissioning in addition with those already commissioned would commence the following week as part of the continuing golden jubilee activities
