Nigeria Union of Journalists reconstitutes media icons planning committee
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Friday reconstituted the Planning Committee for its yearly Milestone Recognition of Media Icons for 2024, with a veteran broadcast journalist, Otunba Gbenga Onayiga as chairman
Penpushing reports that President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Dr. Chris Isiguzo, approved the committee which also include Adeleye Ajayi; (Chairman, Lagos State Council), Bimbo Oyetunde, (National Trustee Zone F); Tunde Olalere, (Secretary, Lagos State Council); Sylvia Okereke (former National Trustee B Zone) and Julie Ekong, (National Ex-Officio of National Association of Women Journalists)
The others are: Amos Etuk, (Chairman, (Akwa Ibom State Council); Tukur Hassan (Chairman, Katsina State Council); Adewale Akodu of Lagos State Information Chapel and Olayide Awosanya; (Assistant Secretary Lagos State Council) as Secretary of the Committee.
Penpushing further reports that the statement jointly signed by Otunba Gbenga Onayiga(Chairman) and Olayide Awosanya(Secretary) respectively emphasized that the team is expected to hit the ground running.
The statement added that the team will in same vein beam its searchlight on identifying for the honour, successful media gurus whose names have graced the pages of history books in the media profession, stating that this year’s edition will be the 3rd in the series.
