NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS GETS NEW COORDINATOR IN OGUN

The new State Coordinator, who was the former Deputy Director, Publications, at the National Headquarters promised to build on the legacies and achievements of her predecessor by completing all ongoing projects and making staff welfare her top priority.

Penpushing reports  further that ,  Faniyi, said even though she did her youth corps service  and later worked in Ogun State as the Head of Public Relations Unit, adding that the scheme is dynamic, stating that, “a lot of things have changed these days therefore, I do not know it all. Please give me your wings to fly higher “.

The Edo State born Coordinator also urged all staff who have ideas that can move the scheme forward to walk up to her for such as she will operate an open door administration.

However, in her valedictory speech, the outgoing State Coordinator, Mrs Josephine Bakare, thanked members of staff for their support, prayers and loyalty to her administration and called for the extension of similar gestures to her successor.

Penpushing also reports that, Bakare, who has been posted to the National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja appealed to staff to forgive her if she has stepped on any toes in the course of her duty as no one is perfect.  The new State Coordinator also used the occasion of her inaugural speech to introduce the new Head of Account Branch, Mr. Gbagaji.
