National Youth Organisation to partner department of state services for security summit in ogun state

The National Youth Organization (NYO), Ogun State Chapter is set to collaborate with the Department of Security Service (DSS) towards upcoming security summit aimed to bring together stakeholders to discuss security challenges in Ogun State and propose solutions.

Penpushing reports that Chairman of the organization Comrade Saka Olanrewaju made this known in a request letter forwarded to the Director of State Security Service (DSS), explaining that the proposed date and venue of the summit will later be announced

The letter was jointly signed by Comrade Sekinat Jimoh Oluwatosin (State Deputy Chairman), Ambassador Maryam Olasunbo Ajala (State Secretary), stressing that the expertise and experience of the security outfit would be invaluable in making this event a success.

‘We write to respectfully request the partnership and support of the Department of State Services (DSS), Ogun State Command, for our upcoming Security Summit. The summit aims to bring together stakeholders to discuss security challenges in Ogun State and propose solutions’, the letter read.

‘We believe that the expertise and experience of the DSS would be invaluable in making this event a success. We are eager to collaborate with your esteemed organization to ensure the summit achieves its objectives’, it added

Penpushing further reports that the organization disclosed that other stakeholders expected at the summit include government officials from state and local government security agencies which include police and civil defence corps.

The letter added that other are civil society organizations, non-governmental organization, youth organisations, community-based organisations, private sector representatives, community leaders, academia and researchers
