N36 MILLION DUD CHEQUE ISSUANCE: SUSPECT OPTS FOR PLEA BARGAIN

The statement stated that Yusuf’s trouble began when the Kaduna Zonal office of the commission received a petition by one Tunde Akinola against the accused for an alleged criminal breach of trust, adding that at the resume hearing, Prosecution Counsel, S.H.Sa’ad informed the court of the decision of the defendant and his counsel, G.O.Owadia to opt for a plea bargain.

Penpushing further reports that, this was confirmed by the defence counsel, who pleaded with the court for a short adjournment to enable him work out the terms with the prosecution, while Justice Bello Duwale adjourned the case until December 10, 2019 for hearing on the plea bargain agreement.
