Multiple bomb blast rocks communities in Zamfara state
Suspected bandits have killed two people having planted explosive device at separate locations between Dansadau and Malamawa road and Malele Road, all in the Dansadau district of Dansadau District of Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Penpushing reports that a resident, identified as Nuhu Babangida, said passengers in a Canter Truck going to the Dansadau weekly market on Friday escaped death after the truck, loaded with grains, ignited the bomb.
The resident confirmed that the explosions on Malamawa and Malele roads went off simultaneously but recorded no casualties, explaining that that was the third explosion in five days in the Dansadau Emirate, occurring on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Penpushing further reports that in similar development it is recalled that 12 people were reportedly killed Wednesday morning after an explosive blew off a bridge at Tashar Sahabi, while the victims were travelling in an overloaded Golf car to Gusau from Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The Zamfara State Police Command Public Relations Officer Yazeed Abubakar, as at the time of filing this report could not be reached immediately to speak on the latest incidents, while it was noticed that his phone number didn’t connect Friday morning.
