MOTHER SEEKS FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO RAISE 6 MONTHS OLD TRIPLETS, AS FATHER ABSCONDS

A 29-year old, Balikis Popoola  gave birth to  triplets on August 2019 through a Caesarian operation at New Dawn Private Hospital, Olorunsogo, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, and  the husband had to take a loan of N300,000 before being discharged alongside with the babies.

Penpushing reports that the woman in an exclusive interview narrated the family’s plight after delivery of the babies(2 males and one female), and how her husband took to his heels, as a result of the poor financial status of the family to raise the six months old children

The mother of triplets who had a child before the coming of the new set of babies said her husband, a commercial Okada operator absconded home, following pressure from LAPO Microfinance Bank on recovery of the N300, 000 loan

‘When I gave birth to these triplets, 2 boys and One girl, through operation (Caesarian Section), the hospital said I will need ₦300,000 to be discharged and my husband had to go to these LAPO Microfinance Banks to borrow money, for me to be discharged, after which they are now asking him of the money he borrowed, which made him to abscond. Since then we have been finding it difficult to feed ourselves, also the kids always fall ill after each other’, the woman lamented.

Penpushing further reports that, the woman, said her 35 year old husband, Samsudeen Popoola has since remained incommunicado leaving her and the kids to their fate, and passionately appeal to well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid.

The woman disclosed that, she has been to the Governor’s office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta to seek financial support from Governor Dapo Abiodun, and the Palace of Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo,but the security did not allow her and the babies to get access to them.

‘Yes, I have been to the Governor’s Office at Oke-Mosan but I was not allowed to enter, also I went to the Alake’s palace, even though they collected my pictures with the triplets and letter of assistance but yet I did not see any positive feedback from them and was not even allowed to see the King’, she explained.

Penpushing also reports that, the mother of the triplets also sought for job, adding that she was still nursing the pains of the surgical operation, and advised to go for medications but could not afford the payment.

‘I want them to help me with a job, so as to be able to feed my children, because I don’t have anyone to run to or to help me now. I am begging them to kindly assist me. The spot I was operated on still pains me till today, and it is because of the stress I do engage myself, with carrying them and other things. So I was asked to go to the hospital to get some drugs that will relieve me of the pains but I don’t have money to visit the hospital, nothing I can do again’.
