MEAT OF COWS KILLED BY THUNDER ON SALE IN ONDO

The Director of Environmental Health Services in the  Local Government, Yemisi Adeniyi, and her counterpart from Akoko Northwest, Ojo Anthony, confirmed the development,adding that the sales of the meat had been suspended in the area.

The Environmental Health Services Director added that some butchers who were attempting to take the meat to the market were arrested, adding that officials of the Health Services had mobilised to the site of the slaughter of the unhealthy cows  and seized the remaining meat.

Penpushing further the authorities cautioned and warned residents of Akoko to stay away from cow meat in the next few days to avoid consuming the controversial meat, because of the risk associated with such beef.

The Chairman of Butchers’ Association in Ikare, Kabiru Ismaila,in his reaction disclosed that  he was already working with government’s environmental health officials to ensure such cow meats were not sold in Akoko markets.
