Manifesto of All Democratic Alliance (ADA)

Preamble

The All Democratic Alliance (ADA) emerges as a transformational political force with a clear moral compass, inspired by the enduring symbolism of a corn – food security and national prosperity. Our emblem – flanked by the Red, Blue and Green – encapsulates our mission – i.e. to sow the spirit of sacrifice, energy and bold leadership to create public order and responsible leadership that would in turn enable self-reliance and prosperity on the basis of justice and national unity.

The ADA is a collective of tested statesmen, members of the academia, the business community, patriotic youths and women, visionary elites, professional leaders, trade unionists and morally anchored citizens from across Nigeria. Together, we stand to reclaim the republic and reinvigorate national purpose.

Vision Statement

To establish a united, just, fair and progressive Nigerian state founded on democratic ideals, social equity, economic self-reliance, scientific advancement and strategic nationhood, built by an enlightened and politically conscious citizenry, an honest elite class working towards the evolution of a mass participation of the people in a democratic culture relevant to our environment, compatible with our mores and benefiting from the traditional knowledge and practices of our people in a shared sense of destiny.

Mission Statement

To mobilize Nigeria’s diverse peoples into a cohesive democratic force that will restore the moral, political, economic and social compass of the nation by rebuilding trust in governance and institutions, establishing a patriotic national culture and creating a leadership elite based on merit, vision and public spirit.

Core Objectives

1. National Unity and Reconciliation:

• Transcend historical and ethnic arguments to settle national disagreements;
• Eliminate all forms of ethnic and religious extremism, sectarianism and separatist tendencies;
• Entrench economic, political and cultural equality of all Nigerians; and Promote dialogue, inclusivity, and mutual respect across Nigeria’s diverse communities.

2. Patriotic Reorientation and Nationhood:

• Reclaim Nigeria’s lost ethos of patriotism and collective self- reliance;
• Eeflect and accommodate the diversity and heterogeneity of Nigeria asa nation-state;
• Evoke a sense of patriotism and purpose in our citizens; * Instill civic education and reorient the political consciousness of citizens towards democratic responsibility; and
• Renew Nigeria’s identity as a united, indivisible nation-state rooted in justice and equity.

3. Democratic and Institutional Renewal:

• ADA aims to reorient the democratic narrative to create an enlightened and politically conscious citizenry, with an honest political class working towards the evolution of a mass participation of the people in a democratic culture relevant to our environment, compatible with our mores and benefiting from the traditional knowledge and practices of our people as the original ideals that Nigeria’s independence emerged from;

ADA readily acknowledges and aims to entrench the role of democracy by providing the critical leverage of good-government for the transformation of the polity into a zone of economic, political and social growth;

• Since one of the basic goals of Nigeria is to overcome poverty, this will be achieved through a radical and thorough social transformation, with new power and property relations created within new democratic institutions;
• Strengthen the democratic institutions through transparency, accountability and the rule of law; and
• Establish a higher moral and legal authority above political discord and divisiveness.

4. Economic and Scientific Empowerment:

• Pursue economic transformation through education, science, AI and innovation;
• Aim at the greater goal of effective management of public resources and directing state priorities for the greatest benefit of all citizens;
• Promote citizens’ self-reliance through entrepreneurship in agriculture, industry, banking, technology, etc.;
• Support youth and women empowerment through job creation, skills acquisition and access to capital;
• Leverage on our huge youth population to create key indices for economic development by molding them into a force of selfentrepreneurs;
• Induce our citizens to acquire knowledge, technology and innovation for mass labour and workforce in production, agriculture, infrastructure, factories, etc.;
• Create economic activities based on abundant talents to pull society out of poverty; and Prioritize national development, public services and infrastructure in urban and rural areas.
• 

5. Social Order and Ethical Governance:

• Build a society governed by moral integrity, ethical leadership and civic responsibility;
• Diminish the trust deficit between citizens and the state through fair and equitable governance reflective of inclusivity in policy-making;
• Enforce equity, social justice and equal opportunity as the basis of public policy; and
• Ensure that what is morally wrong will not be politically right.

6. Foreign Policy

• Employing Strategic Pragmatism in Foreign Relations, with Africa as its Centre Piece;
• Securing Africa from outside Interference and Exploitation;
• Promoting Africa’s Political and Economic Unity;
• Enhancing Africa’s Security and Stability;
• Promoting Peace and Stability in the International Community; and
• Relating with the International Community on mutual respect,
• cooperation, benefit and with decency.

7. Strategic National Goals:

• To win the confidence of Nigerians and lead a democratic resurgence that captures the imagination of the people;
• To convincingly win national elections and take over the reins of government with a transformative agenda;
• To reorganize Nigerian society in justice, honesty, peace, merit, competence and visionary leadership; and to mobilize a pan-Nigerian momentum capable of transforming the country into a proud and fully developed nation-state.

Conclusion

The All Democratic Alliance is not just a political party – it is a national movement, a rebirth of democratic idealism and patriotic fervour. Under the symbol of the corn, we stand for leadership that is sincere, rooted, selfreliant and enduring. With the colours of Red (Valour, Energy and Boldness), Blue (Stability and public safety and responsible leadership), and Green (Fertility and Prosperity Renewal), we summon the nation to rise above decay and despair into a new dawn of peace, unity, strength and greatness
