However, Bilikisu in her defence told the court that the grinding machine is the main source of income for her family and have been using it for seven years due to the inability of her sick husband to fend for them.

The defendant also denied the claim that her chickens littered the compound with droppings, saying the chickens were few and normally go out of the compound to fend for themselves.

Penpushung further reports that, the Judge, Musa Sa’ad enjoined the parties to live peacefully, reminding them that every neighbour has rights upon his neighbour in Islam, adding that the court would visit the house to see the grinding machine and other issues raised by the complainant to arrive at amicable settlement.

The judgem thereafter adjourned the case to June 12, for further hearing.
