Man allegedly stabs girlfriend to death
A man simply identified as ‘Doctor’ has allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in Okereke Street, Mile 1 Diobu in Port Harcourt, Rivers State over infidelity
Penpushing reports that said to be in police custody as at the time of filing this report was said to have accused his girlfriend, identified as “Ima”, of cheating on him, resulting in an argument which led to her death.
The sources added that following the ugly development there was huge crowd in the compound, which led to a report at the police station by the caretaker of the compound, hence, the suspect was arrested
“There was a crowd in the compound because of what happened. So the caretaker of the compound quickly rushed to the Azikiwe Police Division in Mile 2, Diobu, to make a formal complaint about it, and the man was arrested’, the source said.
Penpushing further reports that following the sad incident sympathisers thronged the Azikiwe Police Division in Diobu, where the slain woman’s corpse was brought to, on Monday, before it was taken to a mortuary.
The Rivers State Police Command Public Relations Officer Grace Iringe-Koko, when contacted confirmed the incident explaining that the suspect has been arrested, while the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Port Harcourt,”
