Man allegedly rapes friend’s wife in couple’s matrimonial home
A 27-year-old man identified as Gabriel Gibson popularly called Ogidi has allegedly raped his friend’s wife in the couple’s apartment in a community of Enugu State, and subsequently arrested by the police.
Penpushing reports that the Enugu State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident adding that the suspect committed the crime at about 5 a.m. on 18 August, 2023.
The police spokesperson in a statement on Wednesday said the suspect had visited the apartment of his friend when he was not around and forcefully engaged the wife in a sex, adding that he was arrested on August 21, 2023.
Penpushing further reports that the command image maker, a deputy superintendent of police, explained that the Orji-River Police Division arrested the suspect at about 10.00am.
“The suspect was arrested on 21 August at about 10 a.m. by police operatives serving in Oji-River Police Division. The case is undergoing further investigation’, the command public relations officer said
