
Mama Eunice Kayode-Adedeji dies at 84
The proprietress of famous Omotayo Maternity Home in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State Capital Dame Moyofore Eunice Kayode-Adedeji has died on Monday, January 5, 2026 at age of 84 years.
Penpushing reports that the first son, Seyi Kayode-Adedeji confirmed this during a telephone conversation explaining that Mama passed on in the early hours of Monday, adding that as at the time of filing this report the remains had been deposited in the morgue.
The deceased was a renowned licensed healthcare professional within and outside Nigeria who during the regime of late President Shehu Shagari was conferred with national honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), a prestigious national honour awarded to citizens for meritorious service and significant contributions to the nation’s development, and was also matron of the IICC Shooting Stars Football Club in the 80″s among others

Penpushing further reports that as at the time of filing this report the family will be meeting to discuss the burial arrangements of the late Mama, who played major roles to the upbringing of founder of Penpushing Media, Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, a renowned media practitioner.
The founder of Penpushing Media in his reaction to the death explained that he received the sad news on Tuesday morning through the deceased children who are his cousins and expressed shock and sadness, describing the woman as a mother in million
“Bereaved; Yes, I am bereaved. The call informing about the death woke me up this morning from my cousins. Mama (Dame) Moyofore Eunice Kayode-Adedeji passed on today January 5, 2026 at age 84”, he wrote.
“I felt sad because she’s a mother in million who added value to my life. She was there for me from childhood while growing up. I will never forget her positive contributions towards what I become today’ Kayode-Adedeji added.

“Mummy, wife of my late uncle was the founder of the famous Omotayo Maternity Home, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, showed me love and affection, also thought me to be a kind-hearted person which I emulate till date”, he added.
“Even in death I remain grateful to her. If there is opportunity to meet in heaven, and at ripe age that I pray to pass on, I will still appreciate staying with her. No doubt, I will miss her. I pray for her soul to rest in perfect peace. Mummy sleep well in the Lord’, Kayode-Adedeji emphasized
