MAGU BEGS NIGERIANS TO SUPPORT EFCC IN FIGHTING CORRUPTION TO STANDSTILL
“We are always ready to provide the media with the necessary information to be disseminated to the grassroot on the evils of corruption in this country, Government Agencies, Civil Society Organisations and Non Governmental Organisations must also join hand to fight this menace “
He reiterated that EFCC is driven by courage, integrity and professionalism, ‘and our commitment to the common task of improving the lot of the people at the grass root as the commission is ready to promote working partnership with all the peoples needs not be over emphasized’
Magu noted that corruption is the number one problem that has militated against the development of Nigeria especially the very poor at the grassroots and that the havoc that corrupt practices have wrecked on the Nigeria economy is enormous
His words “This is why fighting it to a standstill is not only a must but the only lifesaver for our country as to save the next generation, EFCC will not engage in witchunting anybody, our activities are online with international body practice”
” In all that we are doing in our country, indeed fighting corruption by the fear of God and patriotism is a must in our father land and the rule of law, we shall continue to discharge our goal solely by the fear of God, with this, corruption in our father land will be cure with the rule of law “
He, however said that the commission have recorded some humble achievements that have become very much accessible to Nigerians citizens, which on the other hand has brought the anti corruption campaign closer to the people
“It is pertinent for us all to see ourselves as a stakeholders in this fight, we must collectively strive to achieve the Nigeria of our dream, one which our children, indeed even generation unborn will be proud of “
