Earlier, in his Welcome address, the Chief Executive Officer of Centre for Grassroot Education, Healthcare and Empowerment, Apostle Tola Adenekan said the 2018 International Peace Day Celebration with the theme ” Right to Peace ” was unique as the marks the 70th Anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 3rd Anniversary of the United Nations adoption of Sustainable Development Goal and few months to the 2019 General elections.
He said, hence the focus of the seminar which drawn participants from the Civil Society, Media, Academia, Trade Unions, Professional Associations, Women, Youth and Students Groups, Security personnel as well as Politicians.
The Chairman of the Occasion, Prof Delana Adenekan while commending the Centre for the Peace Seminar urged Nigerians to be advocate of Peace at all times and see each other as brothers and sisters, noting that peace and unity remains the bedrock for the nation’s survival
