Leading Women of Africa Group starts preparations for Africa Partnership symposium in South Africa
The Leading Women of Africa (LWA) Group has commenced preparations for its next edition of annual Africa Partnership for Growth (APG) Symposium which is due to take place in Cape Town, South Africa on 20-23 November 2024.
Penpushing reports that Africa Partnership for Growth (APG) Symposium is an annual economic forum of entrepreneurs, decision-makers, financial and technical partners from the public and private institutions aiming to forge meaningful partnerships that will accelerate economic growth in Africa under the African Continent Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
The Group which has Penpushing Media as one of its partners, in a statement explained that the 2024 symposium will bring together geopolitical strategists and futurists to engage on the impact of the new world configuration on doing business in Africa
‘In addition to the Future is Female and Male Champions Awards, APG 2024 will have the honour to host African Mayors for a special study visit to Cape Town. The purpose of the study visit is to facilitate sharing of best practices among Mayors on the improvement of planning, governance and quality of basic services in order to better manage resources and attract local and international tourists’, the statement reads.
Penpushing further reports that this special session will equally mark the launch of Leading Women of Africa (LWA) BRICS+ INTEGRATED PROGRAMME, adding that an Leading Women of Africa (LWA)-led program that will ensure African women are included in the economic opportunities within the BRICS+ countries.
The statement emphasized that participants include African and global leaders, entrepreneurs and development partners who will converge in Cape town in November to explore meaningful partnerships that will accelerate economic growth in Africa.
Penpushing also reports that objectives of the event are to: facilitate business engagements between African businesses including Anglophone, Francophone and Lusophone countries and global stakeholders, share a futuristic view on the impact of the new world configuration on African business landscape as well as business women, facilitate meaningful engagements between African mayors and recognise the contributions of male and female leaders in socio-economic development.
