KOLADAISI UNIVERSITY CLINCHES SECOND POSITION IN INTER-UNIVERSITY CONTEST
The statement added that, while recalling the highpoints of the competition, Dr. Ojo praised the dexterity and confidence exhibited by the KolaDaisi University team, which he said were the key attributes that earned the University the second spot trophy.
Ojo pointed out that, KolaDaisi University team was undaunted and refused to be intimidated by other contestants at the event, saying “I feel so proud of our team. Our debaters were very brilliant and confident.
‘You can imagine their courage, regardless of their educational status of being just 100-Level students, slogging it out with other contestants of whom some of them were in the 500-Level from other Universities”, the statement added.
However, in a congratulatory letter appreciating the feat of the students the elated Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolade Ayorinde congratulated the entire Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences, for doing the University proud at the oratory contest.
The congratulatory letter signed by Registrar, Mrs. Omotayo Ikotun, noted that “this feat is highly commendable and worthy of note as a good start, especially as this was the first competition the students would participate in, since the commencement of the academic activities in November 2017
Professor Ayorinde urged both the staff and students of the budding institution not to relent in the pursuit of excellence, adding that, “the University looks forward to more laurels to be won, not only within Ibadan, but nationally and globally. May I therefore urge all of us not to rest on our oars, but together keep the flag flying and soaring higher, to be the best at all times”.
