Knee surgery: Governor Abiodun, Speaker visit Osoba in London

The Ogun State Governor, Prince  Dapo Abiodun  has led the Speaker of the State, Rt Hon Kunle Oluomo and two other lawmakers to London on a visit to former Governor Olusegun Osoba who is recuperating after a knee surgery.

Penpushing reports that, the editorial board of Penpushing media had earlier announced the medical fitness of Osoba after a telephone conference with him, and confirmed his (Osoba) medical fitness after the successful operation

The Governor via his verified Facebook page on his latest visit to the 82 year old politician and leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said the former Governor is recuperating well.

Penpushing further reports that, it is recalled that Abiodun in October announced that, the octogenarian had undergone a knee replacement surgery in the United Kingdom, which was successful.

“Earlier this week, I visited our leader and dear father, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, the former Governor of Ogun State who is in the United Kingdom for medical treatment, Our highly revered Baba is recuperating very well following a knee surgery, and we all look forward to welcoming him back to our midst very soon”, Abiodun was quoted saying

Penpushing also reports that, contrary to speculations that, Osoba has been abandoned by his political loyalists and beneficiaries, Senator Gbenga Obadara, who is one of his political son denied the claims.

“I would not like to start mentioning names of those who have gone to see him and those who have not.  But I am in contact with Chief Osoba. If I tell you whether I have gone or not, it means I will have to tell you those who have gone. I don’t need to start reeling out names because Chief Osoba would not want that. He’s a private man”, Obada stated

“Those insinuating that he has been abandoned should just leave the man to rest. They should allow the man to recuperate well and leave the man in the hands of God, which we know he’s really enjoying his rest in England. This is a man that goes to London one month, two months, even without having surgery done. So, I can tell you nobody abandoned Chief Osoba and he does not feel like that”, Obadara emphasised

Penpushing reports that, the Speaker in his remarks thanked God that  Osoba is fast recuperating and expressed optimism that the octogenarian would be back in the country soon, while  other members on the entourage included; Hon Adeyemi Ademuyiwa (Abeokuta South 2), Hon Musefiu Lamidi (Ado-Odo-Ota 2) and Hon Yusuf Adejojo (Abeokuta South 1

Penpushing reports that,  Akinrogun of Egbaland  during the conference meeting with the editorial board expressed appreciation to the entire membership of Penpushing platform for their love and prayers for him, affirming that he is in a stable health condition, with assurance that, he would soon be back in Nigeria.

The former Governor told the editorial board of Penpushing media led by its Chairman, Deaconess Olufunke Fadugba that he was recuperating as advised by his Doctors, adding that the wound after the operation is fast healing up.
