Kenya, Germany to sign migration agreement
The Germany and Kenya Government will next week sign a migration agreement aims to facilitate the immigration of skilled labour to Germany, and the repatriation of those obliged to leave the country, including failed asylum seekers.
Penpushing reports that Chancellor Olaf Scholz will receive Kenyan President William Ruto in Berlin on Friday next week ahead of the signing of the deal, as announced by the German government in Berlin on Friday.
The Germany Government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit explained that it is long-planned migration agreement between which is expected to come into fruition, just as record has it that Germany is currently negotiating migration agreements with several different countries.
Penpushing further reports that the special representative with responsibility for the talks, Joachim Stamp, recently negotiated similar agreements with Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines.
