KADUNA GOVERNMENT WILL STILL PROSECUTE El-ZAZAKKY IF RELEASED BY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, SAYS GOVERNOR EL-RUFAI

The Governor said, there is difference between Shittes and Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), describing the former as religious body and the latter as outlawed organization, having refused to recognize the constitution of Nigeria and its sovereignty.

Penpushing further reports that, El-Rufai explained that, the mission of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) led by the detained leader was to Islamized the country, which is country to the constitution.

‘The Federal Government is not prosecuting El-Zazakky, he is under protective custody. We are the one going to prosecute him. Kaduna State Government is to prosecute El-Zazakky and his lieutenants because the crimes were committed in Kaduna State’, he said

‘When we are ready, we are going to bring him to Kaduna. Our job is to investigate his entire terrorism act. When we are ready, we ask Federal Government to release him, so that we bring him before a judge in Kaduna’

The Governor explained that, those protesting are not Shittes, but followers of El-Zazakky, adding that, ’this is what they claimed but I want you and the audience to separate the two, because there are two organisations’.

Penpushing also reports that, El-Rufai explained that, the Shittes are not those protesting, but members of El-Zazakky Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) adding that it is the movement that did not recognize the President, the Federal Government and the constitution.

‘The one we have problem with is the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN),’which we have outlawed because they do not recognize constitution of Nigeria, they do not recognize the President of Nigeria and sovereignty. They do not recognize me as Governor, and their allegiance is with another country. Their mission is to turn Nigeria to Islamic country’

‘To outlaw them is the solution, they are against the State, they never recognize the state, they never recognize constitution of Nigeria. I know El-Zazakky, we were together as students at Amadu Bello University’
