JOINT HEALTH SECTOR UNION SUSPENDS SIX WEEKS OLD STRIKE

Penpushing recalled that, the strike lasted 44 days and caused many deaths, while number of patients passed through untold hardship and their relatives, as health institutions were crippled within the period.

Similarly, there were series of meetings between the Government and the Union with the Ministers of Health and Labor, Isaac Adewole and Chris Ngige, leading the negotiations, but ended in stalemate,as the striking workers accused both officials of bias.
