JEALOUS WIFE SET SELF ABLAZE IN PROTEST OF HUSBAND’S NEW MARRIAGE

A Housewife, identified as Rabi has set herself ablaze, at Gayawa quarters, Ungoggo Local Government Area of Kano State, because her husband,   Malam Badamasi married a second wife.

Penpushing reports that, brother in-law of the deceased, Salisu Safiyanu, said he found Rabi in her matrimonial home, burnt beyond recognition, while also reacting,  Malama Mariya, a sister to the deceased said  she was devastated as her sister lost her life due to “extreme jealousy”. .

The Kano State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abdullhi Kiyawa, confirmed the incident, but said he was still expecting additional information from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area before he issues a statement.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the Kano State fire Service Public Relations Officer , Muhammad Ibrahim, said they are yet to receive a report on the incident.
