Iyabo Obasanjo acknowledges Tinubu’s support in providing level playing ground to join All Progressives Congress to boost her governorship aspiration
The Governorship aspirant under the platform of All Peoples Congress (APC) in Ogun State ahead of 2027 general elections, Senator Iyabo Obasanjo has acknowledged support of President Bola Tinubu in providing level playing ground to join the party to boost her governorship aspiration
Penpushing reports that she made the acknowledgement known during a meeting with group of her supporters from all the twenty local government area of the state, held at Marque Events Centre, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.
The first female governorship aspirant to announce her governorship aspiration in Ogun State, emphasized that she remains grateful to the President, his wife, national headquarters of the party, Governor Dapo Abiodun and Chief Yemi Sanusi (Ogun State Chairman of the ruling party
‘I want to specifically thank President Bola Tinubu, and his wife for providing conducive atmosphere for me to join All Progressives Congress and subsequently to aspire becoming first female governor in the country’, Obasanjo said
‘I want to appreciate APC leadership for accepting me into the party. My acceptance by the party gave me platform in encouraging me in coming out as governorship aspirant. I want to equally thank Governor Dapo Abiodun and Chairman of the party In Ogun State, Chief Yemi Sanusi’, Obasanjo stated.
Penpushing further reports that the former Health Commissioner in Ogun State added that her recent visit to national headquarters of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was a sweet memory.
The Governorship hopeful disclosed that she was warmly welcome by the leadership of the party, having encouraged her as Bonafide member of the party, adding that the reception given her added value to her political aspiration
‘I have equally been to national headquarters of APC in Abuja, I was warmly welcome and encouraged my coming, with affirmation that I will add value to the party, as a known mobilizer of party faithful and electorates’, Obasanjo stated.
Penpushing also reports that Obasanjo stated that during the visit she assured the leadership that she would join force to take the All Progressives Congress (APC) to greater height, in ensuring that the party become regular winner at poll
‘I have also pledged to take the party to greater height, in ensuring that it turn out to be regular winner in all elections. In Ogun State All Progressives Congress will continually produce governors’, she stated
