Iwoye-Ijesa descendants to converge on homestead for annual celebration, fund raising
The indigenes of Iwoye-Ijesa in Ijesaland located in Oriade local government area of Osun State will converge on their homestead of October 28, 2023 to celebrate the annual day of the ancient town, an event which is designed to include N500million development fund raising.
Penpushing reports that the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Amos Adewunmi Ogidiolu made this known in a statement made available to journalists, adding that all descendants of Iwoye-Ijesa within and outside the town and country have been mobilized to attend.
The royal father explained that the epoch making event will parade the likes of Osun State Governor, Prince Ademola Adeleke as special guest of honour, as well as Chief Oluwole Oke, a member of the Federal House of Representatives as Chairman.
Penpushing further reports that Otokobo I and Oniwoye of Iwoye-ljesa Kingdom disclosed that the ceremony will take place at the Iwoye-Ijesa main ground, adding that the royal father of the day is Owa Obokun and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran.
The Oniwoye in the statement added that the fathers of the day include Oba(Engr) Moses Agunsoye(Abikehin Ekun 11, Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa and Oba Benjamin Ogungbangbe(Ajagbusi Ekun V1, Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa
Penpushing also reports that the hosts are Femi Agunbiade(Chief Executive Officer, Makaiza Farms, Iwoye-Ijesa), Prof Duro Oni (Former Deputy Vice Chancellor University of Lagos), while the committee members include High Chief Akinyele Oluwadare,Engr. Dideolu Falobi, Prince Ayo Amure and Prince Wole Oginni
