Italian infected with Coronavirus earlier visited Ogun State, says government
The Italian confirmed who was confirmed as first victim of corona virus in Nigeria and presented admitted in Lagos State, had earlier visited Ewekoro community in Ewekoro Local Government area of Ogun State for a business transaction with a private manufacturing company
Penpushing reports that, Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr Tommy Coker made this known at a press conference on Friday, but said the residents and visitors to the state need not to entertain any fear, explaining, that the facility he visited had been quarantined.
The Commissioner explained that epidemiologists and infectious disease consultant are already on top of the situation in collaboration with the Lagos State Government and Federal Government, stressing that efforts are in top gear to get in touch with the established index case.
Penpushing further reports that, Coker advised public on need to always wash their hands, cover their mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing, and endeavor to report to the nearest public health institutions on notice of any sign of cold, cough and respiratory difficulty
